Property in Dubai, sold the way a film opens: lights, curtains, the city.

The prototype's first screen on a desktop: a city skyline at dusk through tall windows, and a small card at the right.
The same first screen on a phone: the headline, and its card under it.

The first screen is a film.

It runs for five seconds. A prototype for a property brokerage in Dubai.

The curtains

A dark room, the lights come on, and the curtains open on the city. The headline's last word falls in while they do.

The prototype's first screen: a dark room; warm light comes on; the curtains open on a city skyline at dusk; the headline's last word arrives letter by letter.
  1. A dark room
  2. The lights come on
  3. The curtains open
  4. The last word lands

On a phone, the card waits: it rises in the film's last second.

First screen

The reel

A full screen for each development. The next one comes up from below, while its picture settles and its words slide in.

The projects section: a development fills the screen; the next one comes up from below, its picture settling and its name, details and price sliding in line by line; then a third.
  1. One development, the whole screen
  2. The next comes up from below
  3. Its words slide in, line by line
  4. And again, for the third

Five developments in all.

Projects

The eight steps

Eight steps in two rows of four: up to the keys, and after them. A desktop shows both rows; a phone swipes through each.

The services section: four picture cards for the steps up to the keys (find, finance, sign, keys), then four for the steps after them (furnish, lease, manage, visa).

  2. After the keys: furnish, lease, manage, visa

The small things

  • A still waits behind the filmIt is the film's own last frame, so the fade lands on the same picture. The fade starts 1.25 seconds before the film is over.
  • The card waits for the filmOn a phone the card rises in the film's last second, once the film is four-fifths through.
  • Letters that don't push the lineA falling letter's slot is locked to its final letter's width, measured once the font has loaded. Nothing in the line moves while other letters pass through.
  • A phone gets its own filmAn upright cut for a phone, the wide one for a desktop. Each screen is given only its own.
